About This Piece

These elegant drop earrings inherit thousands of years of ancient Chinese lacquer craftsmanship. Each spherical bead is crafted on a solid sandalwood base, layered with natural raw lacquer and inlaid with luminous mother of pearl. Made by traditional Xipi (Rhinoceros Skin) lacquer technique, beads go through weeks of repeated brushing, curing and polishing, forming mysterious black textures decorated with iridescent shell fragments and golden veins.
